Supporting OER at SUNY Oneonta
Because of the seed money provided by SUNY, we have been able to provide innovation grants to faculty who are willing to adopt OER in their courses. This seed money and these innovation grants are only a first step. To continue our momentum we need to explore alternative delivery methods of educational materials that keep costs low for students, help manage faculty workload, and provide avenues for advancement for faculty members.
Education is Sharing
What is OER?
Open Educational Resources (OER) are teaching, learning, and research resources that reside in the public domain or have been released under an intellectual property license that permits repurposing by others.
We see OER as a powerful force to shape curriculum in the ways that we want, and that our students need. Let us help you make it part of your classroom.
